Tube
used in this tutorial created by Moedog's
Garden She has some beautiful tubes that she has
created. If you wish to use the same tube I used,
check out her floral tubes here.
This
tutorial created on December 27, 2004 and is the sole
property of Bubbles' Psp; please do not copy this tutorial
in whole or in part to add to another site unless you have
permission from me to do so. This tutorial was
created using Psp Vs 7 and should be able to be done in
all versions of Psp.
For
this tutorial you will need the following:
PSP
(Trial version)
Redfield's
Lattice Composer
Xero
(Set 2)
Tube
and font of choice
Let's
get started on our tag :)
1.
Open your tube image in Psp; Shift+D to make a copy of
your tube; close out the original so you can have it for
future use.
2.
Image/Canvas Size 500w x 500h; center image horizontally
and vertically checked. Image/Resize; resize your
tube (if needed) by 80% resize all layers unchecked;
bicubic resample is your resize type.
3.
Layers/Duplicate and duplicate your tube layer two (2)
times for a total of three (3) layers with your tube on
it. X out (click on the glasses next to the layers)
the top and the middle tube layer. Click on your
bottom tube layer to make it your active layer.
4.
Effects/Blur/Gaussian Blur with a radius of 14.
Effects/Plugin Filters/Redfield/Lattice Composer using the
jalousie preset (settings shown below).

5.
With your mover tool, move your tube over to the left hand
side of your image. Click on the X next to your
middle tube layer to reveal your tube; make sure the
middle tube layer is your active layer.
6.
Effects/Blur/Gaussian Blur with a radius of 14.
Effects/Plugin Filters/Lattice Composer/ using the "wallen
tiles" preset. (settings shown below).

7.
Layers/Arrange send to bottom. Image/Rotate/20
degrees to the right. All Layers should NOT be
checked.

8.
Duplicate the layer that you just rotated (the wallen
tiles layer). With your mover tool, move this tube
layer a little to the right and down some (see my tag for
example). With your top tube layer still hidden, and
one of your three background layers your active layer, go
to Layers/Merge/Merge Visible.
9.
Effects/Plugin Filters/Xero/Soft Mood using the settings
below.

10.
Remove the X next to your top tube layer; position your
tube on your background (see my tag for example)
Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow using the following
settings:
Vertical
2; Horizontal 2; Opacity 85; Blur 10; Color Black
Layers/Merge/Merge
Visible.

11.
Time to add our text. Layers/New Raster Layer.
I'm using Avalon Medium; Size 90; Stroke Width 2;
Antialias and Floating checked; Foreground/Stroke color is
#CE509B
and
the Background/Fill color is set to #F7F8E2.
12.
Type the text you want on your tag and position it
where you want it; I rotated my text by about 20% to the
left. Then I applied Xero's Soft Mood using the
default settings (I applied this effect while the text was
still selected). Apply a drop shadow using the
settings below:
Vertical
2; Horizontal 2; Opacity 68; Blur 4.9; Color Black
Selections/Select
None. Layers/Merge/Merge Visible.
13.
Edit/Copy; Edit/Paste/Paste As New Image. This will
remove the excess white space around your tag; resize if
needed and save in desired format.
Below
is another example I created from this tutorial.
